Vegetarian cuisine for lower cholesterol

Image of energiser smoothieEnergiser smoothie: A great breakfast for people on the go. Make it the night before and take it with you to work; it will fill you up and give you a steady supply of energy throughout the morning.
2 bananas
300ml skimmed milk
150ml fresh orange juice
250g low-fat yogurt
200g fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 passion fruit
Serves 4

Well, not too much to this one – just put all the ingredients except the passion fruit in a blender and whizz until smooth. When ready to serve just spoon some passion fruit seeds over the top.
This can be kept in the fridge for at least a day, so make the night before to have on hand the next morning. Another tip is to use fruit that is about to ‘turn’ – it works well and is a great way to avoid wasting expensive fruit.
