Reflexology energy - from seasons to Chakras and Meridians “We live within an energy system and we have an energy system - life force - within us. For perfect health and harmony each part must be in balance. This seems to be impossible because of imbalances occurring all the time and all around us. I see energy fields rather as
different levels of clouds. There is the environment in which we live; the seasons of the year; the climatic conditions of the area in which we live; the energy within the earth and air of our environment; the four aspects of energy within us - body, mind, spirit and emotion. I believe we have lost our connection with the seasonal rhythm of nature. Our ever faster, frantic lifestyle with it’s competitiveness and stressful tension is in direct conflict with
the more subtle, serene seasonal changes. Winter is for resting, recharging our energy batteries and for conserving energy ready to spring forward in the forthcoming year, as it lightens and dawns a new opportunity. It is one reason why we gain weight in winter - it is nature’s defence against the threat of cold and (in a prehistorical natural state) food shortage. This is why we have a tendency to slow down - we are
supposed to do so naturally, as part of the energy conservation process. Yet we go headlong at the same pace of modern life. It is little wonder that this produces conflict, stress and a crop of ailments that keep doctors busier than ever...”
