- David Squire Knowledge of human nature - Swami Shivapremananda Ask Ruth - Ruth Gilmore PhD | Jane Sill - from ‘editorial’ People practise yoga in many different ways and for many different reasons. Iincreasingly, it is being used in a therapeutic setting and there is mounting scientific testimony proving it’s effectiveness in the control of many common ailments... Yoga as part of a holistic healthy lifestyle is becoming the method of choice from many chronic conditions, the emphasis being placed on prevention rather than ‘cure’.
...The importance of living together in harmony and developing a greater sense of responsibility on both an individual and collective level was extolled by HH Dalai Lama during a gathering of over 8,000 people from 70 countries in Graz in October last year. Until next month when we feature an interview
with Baron Baptiste, Yoga routines for children, including those with special needs, reflections on sadhana and ‘limbering, loosening and stretching’, we wish you all a very happy New Year. |
