Birth can and should be a natural, even an extraordinary, experience for most women. Buddhabellies aims to provide them with the tools to prepare both mentally and physically so that they might actively participate in their own labour and create conditions most conducive to a natural birth.

3. The Prison Phoenix Trust: which was founded in 1998 by Ann Wetherall, encourages prisoners in the UK in their spiritual welfare through the practices of meditation and yoga, working with silence and the breath. We train qualified yoga teachers for work in prisons, and establish them in substance mis-use, anger management and education programmes. We help prisoners and prison to maintain their daily practice with weekly classes in prisons all over the UK and Eire, through correspondence, free resource books and CD's, and a quarterly newsletter written mostly by inmates.
